BlogWalk 11: Digital Bohemiens

The BlogWalk last week was an inspiring and fun event. With more than 25 people with very diverse backgrounds we had great conversations and enjoyed a good walk through the backstreets of Amsterdam. (Kudos to Bicyclemark for guiding us on the walk).

Of course there are all sorts of on-line traces which lets you reconstruct what went on at the BlogWalk meeting:

Lilia, Sebastian and I are already looking at the lessons learned this time, and how to apply them to our next meeting. BlogWalk 12 is scheduled to take place in the first half of October in Nuremberg.

BlogWalk is now hosted on its own .EU domain. Lilia Efimova, Sebastian Fiedler and I see BlogWalk primarily as a European initiative. It grew out of the wish to have more informal face to face get-togethers throughout the continent, next to the more formal conferences where face to face time was sparse.

After being kindly hosted at the University of Augsburg, before migrating to my own server under a subdomain of Interdependent.biz, BlogWalk now has its own definitive web-home at http://www.blogwalk.eu/

Of course older links to blogwalk.interdependent.biz still work, and will keep working in the future.

BlogWalk Eleven: Fully Booked

With 29 participants from 8 nationalities and travelling from 9 countries to Amsterdam, the 11th BlogWalk is fully booked. Usually we try and keep the number of participants to a maximum of 25 people. But this time the interest was a bit larger than that, and we wanted to accomodate as many as possible for this first session after a long hiatus.

The people coming to this session hail from a variety of backgrounds, both researchers and practitioners, academics and business. I am very much looking forward to a day of great conversations.

Now on with finding a venue, and arranging the dinners on the night before and the day itself.
